HSEQ Manager will use their knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace. You will be responsible for ensuring that employers, employees and third party service providers comply with safety legislation and those safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to. You will be based in the Sunderland office and expected to travel to various different bases and locations to carry out base and Terminal inspections, third party audits and also to other offices to ensure that they are ready for audits requested by clients. You will work in partnership with employers, employees, directors, suppliers and third parties to minimise: Operational losses Occupational health problems Accidents Major Responsibilities *Manage, create and amend the Integrated Management System, as required *Carry out internal audits of our IMS with the aim of reviewing the policies and procedures in place and improve where possible. *Manage HSEQ budget *Ensure all existing and new personnel have adequate PPE and replenish as required. *Attend Project meetings to represent the HSEQ interests of the company and any third parties being represented. *Provide assistance at HAZID'S and HAZOP'S when required *Maintain JSA and Risk Assessment data base. *Take control of all incident investigations and RCA's. *Investigate/record and maintain near misses, incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health *Maintain an open line of communication with all staff and third parties (where applicable), especially those that work on location i.e. Mooring Masters, Terminal Managers etc and keep them updated on a regular basis on near miss reports, incidents, lessons learnt etc *Create, Implement and maintain safety bulletins and internal memos. *Keep Management, Terminal Managers and Mooring Masters up to date with local and International HSE legislation. * Ensure company policies are being adhered to Co-ordinate and execute Emergency Drills and Exercise's. *Take part in industry forums and meeting. *Be the main point of contact and co-ordinate customer audits. *Carry out audits of subcontractors and suppliers *Arrange and hold Safety meetings. *Co-ordinate ISO certification with ISOQAR including annual audits. *Record, action and close out any observations, non-conformance and customer complaints. *Liaise with the management team for setting KPI's and monitor and produce quarterly analysis and reports.
Requirements: Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) *Demonstrates analytical, problem solving and the ability to prioritise tasks. *Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner. *Effective teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. *Proficient in Microsoft applications. *Experience within the Shipping and Oil and Gas Industry. *Previous HSEQ experience essential
